Youth & Young Adults Ministries

Mission Statement: “Christ is in our midst when we gather together as a community of believers to share our gifts, experience, enthusiasm for the gospel, and the values of our faith life, in order that these treasures might in word and deed be passed on from one generation to the next.

Therefore, to provide various programs, educational experiences, events, social opportunities for the youth and young adult of St. Thomas More Parish, in order to bring our youth to a living faith life that will give them the skills to grow in the life of the Church and express those values in their every day lives, now and in the future. Through these efforts, we will do whatever possible to implement the direction and guidelines established in our parish community, in union with the universal Church, for the life of our parish and in witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ.”

My Rock

“On a quiet day, when I am driving or walking by the church, I can’t help but think, “This place is my foundation––my rock.”
–– Gretchen Tweed

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations...I am with you always."

Mt. 28:19 & 20

JP II generation Catholic!

"No fear is so great that it can completely suffocate the hope that springs eternal in the hearts of the young. You are our hope, the young are our hope. Do not let that hope die! Stake your lives on it! We are not the sum of our weaknesses and failures; we are the sum of the Father's love for us"  Pope John Paul II

He Might Even Be Calling You!

"I have seen the incorruptible body of St. Clare, climbed the dome of St. Peter’s, had Mass under the Eiffel Tower, had Mass in a garbage dump and been on local and international TV. I have taken planes, trains, boats, busses, vans, cars, jeep knees and have ridden all sorts of rides. I have been stuck in elevators, broken down vans, and slept on the plains in the middle of winter. I have skied, snowshoed, ridden bikes, hiked, climbed fourteeners, slid down glaciers, fished, ridden the Excelerator at Elitch Gardens, been in several caves, ridden horses, watched kids fall off horses, climbed on ropes courses, had pranks played on me, and have done a few of my own. I have marched, demonstrated, served the poor, built houses, made sandwiches, served soup and wrapped presents. I have bowled, played football, basketball, volleyball, broom ball, hockey, softball, kickball, frisbee golf and frisbee football, pool, ping pong, foosball, the drums and I have thrown a fare share of cowpies. I have skipped, danced, praised, been still and been very loud. I have spent time with Protestants and Catholics. I have had a great time. This is just some of the fun stuff. I have had many moments of serious faith building. I have done a lot of evangelization and catechesis, but I have also been evangelized and taught a lot."
