Crossfire

STM's Middle School Youth Group which meets every Sunday 7:00-8:30 p.m. for 7th and 8th graders and every Wednesday for 6th graders from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Catacombs Youth Center. This is a night of fellowship, discussion, praise and worship, game playing and learning about our faith. Come and bring your friends.

The themes are divided into three categories:

Catechism/Catholic Issue nights: nights in which we dig deeper
into questions about church teachings and figure out the reasons
why we believe. We look such topics as the sacraments, the
commandments, Mary and the church, why be a Christian…

Life Nights: topics which are facing our kids right know, how to
deal with peer pressure, forgiveness, their own faith…

Outreach Nights: These are nights filled with fun and games which
are great nights for students

7/16: NO CROSSFIRE

7/23: “I can only imagine” - Matthew 13:44-52

7/30: “Feeding 5,000” - Matthew 14:13-21

8/6: “World’s shortest prayer” - Matthew 14:22-33

Your Purpose:
To lead middle school students closer ~ Christ through the Crossfire Program. As an adult leader in Crossfire you will be able to be a crucial part of middle school students. This role is absolutely necessary for the success of Crossfire. Without the cooperation of a

Responsibilities:
• Commit for at least one 4 month period per year mentoring

• Invited to attend Servant Leadership Night monthly (usually 3rd Friday of the month)- On this night we will socialize, pray, brain storm and do necessary training

• Attend the planning meetings once a month for the night you are running

• Build personal relationships with youth in your small groups by calling or emailing weekly, having lunch or attending school activities, etc.

Time requested:
(15 hours per month)

4 hours per month for Servant Leadership Night
2 hours per month for Planning Meeting
2 hours per Sun or Wed for Crossfire
1 hour per month for phone calls, emails, lunches and other activities

Reward:
If you complete at least one 4 month commitment per year the next Fall we will pay for your attendance on the Servant Leadership Weekend. Servant Leadership weekend is an incredible 4 day retreat created especially to help train and empower youth leaders.
